Desirable Wildlife Populations
in St. Joe County is Easier than Ever!

Imagine being able to entice wildlife to your fields, backyards, or fence lines:

deer chomping on clover, butterflies drinking nectar from wildflowers, and

pheasants nesting among alfalfa. Rent the St. Joe County Conservation

District’s no-till drill for an afternoon and you’re off to a great start!

Repopulate open spaces with juicy, yummy, and tasty wildlife tidbits using the St. Joe County Conservation District's no till drill, hooked to your tractor's hitch, and in an afternoon, plant wildflowers and grasses.

A federally funded study at Purdue University found that no-till farming releases significantly less greenhouse gas than conventional farming. According to the study, no-till fields released 57 percent less nitrous oxide than chisel tilling. (Michigan Farm News, Jan. 30, 2011)

Rental rates start at a minimum $50 charge for the first 5 acres. The fee for every acre after 5 is $5.00/acre. A down payment of $50 is required. Final payment is due when the drill is returned.  Call the St. Joe County Conservation District office today to reserve the drill at 269-467-6336.
